The Moto X 2015 release date has reportedly been set for July 28, along with the mid-range Moto G 2015 and a possible Moto 360 successor. In the meantime, a brand new photo of the upcoming Moto X has been leaked via China’s Weibo microblogging account, which was later picked up by many technology sites.

The Moto X 2015 photo shows the device in a white-and-gold hue combination. Phone Arena says Motorola's MotoMaker customization option may have been used to get the premium look. The device has a white patented back with gold accents. The gold hue also runs around the sides of the device.

The upcoming device will apparently come in two variants. One of the two will be have a 5.7-inch display, while the other will have a 5.2-inch display. In spite of the difference in the display size, both the models will host a QHD screen resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. Verizon will be the exclusive carrier offering the 5.7-inch variant of the Moto X.

Earlier rumors pointed to the possibility of the Moto X 2015 being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC. However, a recent report says, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset will be used instead. The smartphone will reportedly run on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The Moto X 2015 will reportedly house a 16-megapixel rear-facing sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera unit. Readers should note that, Motorola has not confirmed the Moto X 2015 specifications thus far.
