‘Suits’ Season 6 Finale Spoilers: Episode 16 Synopsis Teases Huge Obstacle For Mike’s Dream Of Becoming A Lawyer
Mike (Patrick J. Adams) may still not get into the bar in next week’s season finale of “Suits.”
According to the synopsis for Season 6, episode 16, Mike enlists Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Rachel’s (Meghan Markle) help to overcome a seemingly “impossible obstacle” that is stopping him from achieving his dream of becoming a legit lawyer.
While the synopsis doesn’t specify what that obstacle is, the preview clip for the installment reveals that it’s not actually a what, but a who. For some reason, Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope) manages to get herself on the panel that will decide whether Mike will pass his bar hearing.
“The prosecutor that put Mike in prison just got herself put on that panel,” an upset Harvey tells Craig (Michael B. Silver), who is supposed to make sure that Mike pass the interview.
In the video, Anita makes it clear that Mike is not getting her vote, so the team’s initially reaction is to find a way to get her kicked off the panel. Apparently, there’s another option, but it seems to involve Harvey sacrificing for Mike.
“This is your chance to put your money where your mouth is,” Anita tells Harvey in clip. “You for him.”
Anita’s antagonistic attitude towards Mike isn’t really that surprising, as the federal prosecutor has always been vocal about her opposition to the possibility of Mike practicing law again. In Season 6, episode 11, Harvey actually asked Anita to act as a character witness for Mike, but she refused. Anita believed that Mike and Harvey did something shady to get the former faux lawyer out of prison early, and that’s one of the reasons she will never let Mike pass the bar.
Elsewhere in the finale, Donna (Sarah Rafferty) and Benjamin’s (David Reale) The Donna hits a snag, while Louis (Rick Hoffman) tries to patch things up with Tara (Carly Pope).
“Suits” Season 6, episode 16, titled “Character and Fitness,” airs on Wednesday, March 1 at 10 p.m. on USA Network.
