This May's "Super Flower Blood Moon" is set to rise Wednesday. Although the special lunar eclipse is an event in itself, astrologists believe it has many spiritual meanings.

May's full moon has been nicknamed "Flower Moon" because it occurs during the beginning of spring when flowers begin to bloom. This week's Flower Moon, however, is more special than most because it is also a "supermoon" (when the moon is at its closest to the Earth) and coincides with a total lunar eclipse -- also called a "blood moon" as the moon emits a reddish glow, according to Space.com.

Although the celestial event won't be visible from every corner of the Earth, astrologists believe it will affect everyone. According to British Vogue, May's Super Flower Blood Moon is the perfect time to make changes in one's life.

Since spring symbolizes rebirth and growth, one can time the full moon with awakening one's soul and making decisions toward change.

According to astrologers, the eclipse will occur in the fire sign of Sagittarius in opposition to the Gemini sun at 7:14 a.m. EDT Wednesday. Sagittarius is a star sign that represents the need to seek the truth, thus this event "will force us to get real with ourselves and others," as per U.K. Vogue.

As Sagittarius is a sign that "craves adventure, spontaneity and a story for the books," the super blood moon is set to encourage people to welcome new experiences, along with learning truths, Elite Daily said.

People can practice this truth-seeking in several ways, astrologists said. Sitting down and being frank with one's self is a good way to start as this will open windows to one's blindsides and will enable a person to attain knowledge that has otherwise been kept hidden.

"Rather than ignoring situations, we’ll be cosmically pushed to deal with them and confront matters that have been swept under the carpet since [Nov. 26, 2019], the last new moon in Sagittarius," Vogue said.

Depending on one's zodiac sign, Wednesday's Super Flower Blood Moon carries varying messages for different people.
