Melissa Benoist bid farewell to the cast and crew of "Supergirl" as the series wrapped production on its sixth and final season.

Benoist, who has led the CW series since it premiered in October 2015, shared a set photo on Instagram Friday and thanked her castmates and everyone who worked on the show for an incredible time over the past six seasons.

"thank you for an incredible 6 years—the cast who became family, everyone who worked on the show, all of you who watched us week after week [three red heart emoji]," the 32-year-old actress wrote alongside a photo of her and fellow cast members David Harewood and Chyler Leigh in their full superhero costumes.

Benoist added, "That’s a wrap on @supergirlcw."

Fans and followers showered Benoist with love and praise and sent her congratulatory messages for the success the series has had.

"Ohh congrats babe so exciting and what an awesome journey," David Stanwell commented.

"Beautiful work!" Javicia Leslie added. "Congratulations beautiful," Ruby Rose wrote.

Her co-stars, meanwhile, expressed how proud they were of Benoist and said they were happy to have been a part of "Supergirl."

"love you and everyone so much! Congrats my friend, proud to know you!" wrote Odette Annable, who played Samantha Rias, a.ka. Reign, in Season 3.

"Love you so much!! What an amazing show to have been a part of and what an incredible cast to work with," commented Jenna Dewan, who played Lucy Lane.

Esme Bianco wrote, "Awww so much love to you, sweetheart."

On her Instagram Stories, Benoist also shared a masked-up selfie of herself in her Supergirl costume. "Saying goodbye to this glyph," she wrote just above the iconic emblem. The S-shield is both a family insignia for the House of El as well as a symbol of hope for the series.

The Kara Danvers actress also shared Leigh's post featuring a photo of them together with the message, "@melissabenoist I'll always [red heart emoji] you." Leigh played her character's sister Alex Danvers in the series.

Back in March, Benoist spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the series' final season. According to her, they all agreed that it was time to conclude Supergirl's story.

"Yeah, I think we all kind of came to this conclusion. We're so proud of everything we've been able to accomplish in the last five, almost six years," she told EW. "It's been such a journey: changing networks, changing cities we shot in, and changing the nights we've aired. We've gone through so much on this show, and I think creatively we were all able to step back and say that we're really proud of everything we've done and it felt like the right time."

"Supergirl" Season 6 returns Tuesday, Aug. 24 on The CW.
