‘Supernatural’ Actor Jared Padalecki Gushes Over His Sons, Spends New Year In Hawaii [PHOTOS]

“Supernatural” actor Jared Padalecki took some time off shooting the latest episodes of The CW show in order to ring in the new year with his family.

The 34-year-old actor took to Twitter and Instagram to wish fans a happy new year while vacationing in Maui, Hawaii. Padalecki snapped a photo with the background of a beautiful beach, a rainbow and lashing waves while wearing some cool shades and his signature cap.

The “Gilmore Girls” star then shared a photo of him and his sons – 4-year-old Thomas Colton and 3-year-old Austin Shepherd – enjoying some quality time with their father.

Recently, the Texas-born actor, who plays Sam Winchester on “Supernatural,” shared a photo of him and his sons showing off their mustaches. While Padalecki flaunted his stubble, his sons wore fake mustaches. He asked fans how their new year’s was on Instagram. The “Supernatural” actor posted the same photo on Twitter and tweeted, “3 years old and 4 years old and ALREADY better facial hair than daddy!!! #happy2017.” He is expecting his third child in 2017.

Jared’s co-star Jensen Ackles, who plays his elder brother Dean, wished fans a happy new year on Twitter. He accompanied the tweet with a GIF image of his character punching someone.

“Supernatural” returns on Thursday, Jan. 26 in a time slot – 8 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. – with a new episode in which Dean and Sam find themselves locked up in prison by Secret Service agents. Their mother Mary (Samantha Smith) and Castiel/Cas (Misha Collins) will try to find them after the brothers have been missing for six weeks.

The second half of Season 12 will focus on Castiel’s past and reveal more information about the British Men of Letters. One episode in The CW series’ current season will see Dean forget about his brother’s existence.
