‘Supernatural’ Fans Thank Jensen Ackles And Jared Padalecki As Final Episode Films
Although “Supernatural” is coming to an end, fans of the show are grateful for the adventures of Sam and Dean Winchester.
The show, which stars Jensen Ackles as Dean and Jared Padalecki as Sam, is scheduled to end following 15 seasons on the air.
Even though the stars announced the CW show’s end in 2019, it appears a Twitter post from creator Eric Kripke made fans realize that the end is near.
On Thursday, Kripke shared a gif of Ackles and Padalecki from the 2005 pilot episode and revealed the men were on set shooting their final episode. “This was the first #Supernatural scene we shot. Today will be the last. I’m grateful & love you all beyond words. But it’s only over when you say it is, #SPNFamily,” he wrote.
Following his post, #ThankYouSupernatural began trending on Twitter with fans sharing their appreciation for the long-running series.
“J2 — thankyou for being the two stars of a show that everyone would be proud of. you gave sam and dean + supernatural every ounce of yourselves in a period spanning over 15 years; and kept us entertained and smiling all the way. thankyou. there aren’t words. #thankyousupernatural,” one fan tweeted.
Another fan added, “#ThankYouSupernatural for the best character ever!”
Meanwhile, one fan reflected on how the show has inspired others to love themselves.
“This show has been an emotional support for thousands of people out there, it has saved lives, it has made people love themselves, it has helped them find friends and we’ll forever be grateful of the cast & crew of supernatural for making this happen for us. #ThankYouSupernatural,” the viewer wrote.
The final episodes of “Supernatural” are scheduled to begin airing on Thursday, Oct. 8 on The CW.
