‘Supernatural’ Season 12 Spoilers: Dean Is More Skeptical Of The Men Of Letters Than Sam And Mary
Dean (Jensen Ackles) may have finally conceded to working with the British Men of Letters (BMOL), but that doesn’t mean he has to like them. Now that the covert supernatural-fighting organization has ordered Mr. Ketch (David Haydn-Jones) to kill the Winchesters, how will the hunters react when they learn the truth?
While Dean has always been skeptical of the BMOL, it’s actually Mary (Samantha Smith) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) that believed their way was better. After all, both of them are dreamers and they dream of a better world – a world without monsters.
Andrew Dabb, the executive producer of “Supernatural” Season 12, explained to TVLine the way each Winchester feels about the Men of Letters. “Dean went into [the partnership with the British Men of Letters] with his eyes open, and Sam and Mary probably bought the hype a little bit more. Dean’s more of a skeptic. Sam has always been a little bit more a believer, and Mary’s the same way. They both want to make a better world, a monster-free world. The Brits are making progress doing that. So what it comes down to, finally, is the price you’re willing to pay — and once the rubber hits the road, that price is probably too high for our guys.”
READ: Jared and Jensen’s daughters are already best friends.
Indeed, last week’s episode of The CW series saw Ketch unexpectedly killing Mick (Adam Fergus) after he tried standing up for what he believed is right. It won’t be long before the Winchesters learn about Mick’s death and the fact that Ketch has been ordered to execute them. While Sam and Mary will feel betrayed, it seems like Dean won’t feel the same.
“Supernatural” isn’t airing an episode this week. The next episode airs on Thursday, April 27 at 8 p.m. on The CW. Also, Castiel (Misha Collins) returns in the upcoming episode which centers on the hunters and the angel finding Kelly (Courtney Ford).
