Supreme leader says Iran not seeking nuclear weapons
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Friday Iran was not seeking nuclear weapons, a day after the U.N. nuclear watchdog said it feared Tehran may develop a nuclear-armed missile.
The West's accusations are baseless because our religious beliefs bar us from using such weapons ... we do not believe in atomic weapons and are not seeking that, he was quoted as saying on state television.
