Those who follow Supreme have become accustomed to their unexpected drops over the years. Ranging from custom bricks to Oreos, the brand has continued to give fans a range of new products throughout the years. On Thursday, Supreme will yet again do just that when they release their new 1995 BMX Dirtbike, which is a new collaboration with S&M Bikes.

On Tuesday, the James Jebbia-created company shared both a new image and a new video of the bike on their official Instagram account leading up to the drop. In the video, a man can be seen riding it down a city street as he jumps curbs and ultimately pops it on top of a police car. The accompanying caption only reads "Supreme®/S&M™ 1995 BMX Dirtbike. 05/07/2020," as seen below.

A follow-up image posted to their Instagram gave fans more details about the specific characteristics of the new BMX bike, as well as highlighted the Supreme logo that adorns all of their products. With 20" wheels and an alloy S&M steel frame, the design also features "original S&M construction and geometry." Furthermore, the caption added that the bike weighs 30 lbs. and was made in the U.S. exclusively for Supreme. As for the cost, it will retail for $1,898.

As for S&M Bikes, they also shared a bit about what led up to Thursday's new release on their own social media. In February, co-founder Chris “Mad Dog” Moeller revealed that Supreme had approached them about doing a 2020 collab in June 2019. Even though they had never worked on a complete build in-house, they immediately began designing what would ultimately become the Supreme®/S&M™ 1995 BMX Dirtbike.

Continuing, he added that he saw the new collaboration as "a great way to bring new people into our sport and possibly shed some light on our history."

We were approached by @supremenewyork in June ‘19 about collaborating on a circa 1995 American Made S&M complete bike. We’ve never produced an in-house complete bike but we were honored to be given the opportunity and got to work immediately. These bikes should be available sometime in late March or April and will ONLY be available from Supreme! _Custom Supreme/S&M and __ made items include: Dirtbike Frame, frame head badge, Pitchfork, Redneck, 44t Chain Saw sprocket, Pad set(s). Other USA made components include, seat post and Slam Bars. Imported parts include: Custom embossed railed seat, S&M 101 pedals, S&M logo grips, 48 spline cranks, sealed hubs, Comp III tread and Tech 77 lever. Bikes will be assembled here in Santa Ana, CA. As a company formed in 1994 Supreme is the perfect brand to help design and launch a classic bike from that era and we appreciate the opportunity and challenge of bringing it to life. Obviously this rig won’t be cheap and will probably get scooped up by plenty of newcomers to the BMX scene or mid-school riders from the 90’s that took a break - which I think is a great thing. Although this bike won’t be available thru us, our distributors or our dealers, the loyal Supreme customers that do wind up with them can always use help dialing them in so there is opportunity to to get involved. And it’s a great way to bring new people into our sport and possibly shed some light on our history. Let me know if you’ve got any questions about this project and I’ll try my best to answer ASAP.

Aside from the new release, Supreme has also kept fans' interest in recent months in other ways. In April, the New York brand partnered with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami in order to design and release a new t-shirt. Created as a way to raise money for a COVID-19 relief fund, 100% of the money that was raised from the sale benefited HELP USA, an organization that has been working to "support youth and families facing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic."

The new Supreme®/S&M™ 1995 BMX Dirtbike will be available for purchase on Thursday through their website. At this time, the specific time remains unknown, but in the past new items have become available at 11 a.m.
