‘Sweet/Vicious’ Season 1 Finale Sneak Peek: Darlington University Launches Investigation Into Jules’ Sexual Assault Claims Against Nate
After getting the support of her best friend Kennedy (Aisha Dee) in last night’s episode of “Sweet/Vicious,” Jules (Eliza Bennett) finally files a formal sexual assault report to the Darlington University against Nate (Dylan McTee).
In a sneak peek from next week’s two-hour Season 1 finale of the MTV series, Darlington launches an investigation into Jules’ rape accusations against Nate and summons both parties’ friends for interrogation.
Kennedy tells the Title IX officers that she was sick on the night of April 23 so she wasn’t able to attend the party where her boyfriend Nate sexually assaulted Jules. Gaby (Victoria Park) is asked if there were drugs at the party, and the way she answers the question pretty much confirms that there were. Fiona (Lindsay Chambers) says that she won’t characterize Jules or anyone as promiscuous and insists that her sorority sister didn’t go to the party interested in sex. Mackenzie (Skyler Day), meanwhile, admits that she Gaby and Fiona left the party without Jules when they assumed that she was with one of the fraternity brothers.
Nate’s friend and fellow fraternity member, Miles (Ethan Dawes), is also interviewed by the Title IX officers. When asked what Jules’ condition was when she went upstairs, Miles said: “Super wasted. She could barely walk on her own.”
While live-tweeting last night’s episode, series creator Jennifer Kaytin Robinson revealed that “Miles becomes so important” in the final two episodes of the season. In a flashback scene in episode 7, it was revealed that Miles was actually aware of Nate’s plan of sleeping with Jules. So will Miles eventually testify against Nate? Only time will tell.
“Sweet/Vicious’” two-hour season finale airs on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 10 p.m. EST on MTV. Check out the synopsis for episodes 9 and 10, titled “An Innocent Man” and “Pure Heroine,” below:
“Jules reports her attack, forcing everyone to relive that night; following Harris’ (Brandon Mychal Smith) discovery, Ophelia (Taylor Dearden) tries to make things right; the girls learn that injustice has impacted their entire campus.”
