‘SYTYCD’ Season 14: Top 7 Contestants Named After Dassy Lee Elimination

“So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 recently saw Dassy Lee being eliminated from the competition.

After being in the bottom three for two weeks in a row, judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens felt that it was time for her to go home. Not only did Lee receive one of the lowest numbers of votes in the hit Fox reality TV competition, but she also did not impress the judges with her and all-star Fik-Shun’s routine.

But Lee being in the bottom three wasn’t really the surprise in Monday night’s episode. For the first time since the show aired live, Koine Iwasaki and Kaylee Millis were both in the bottom three. Since it was their first time to be in a risky spot, the judges decided to give them a second chance to prove themselves in the competition.

Iwasaki and all-star Marko Germar did a jazz routine this week that had been out of sync at times. However, their errors in timing did not seem like a huge concern for the judges. Majority of the comments the duo received were positive, but they have to wait another week to find out if they will once again be in the bottom three.

Millis and all-star Cyrus Spencer performed a cha-cha routine that wowed the judges and live audiences. The professional dance teacher incorporated some of her hip-hop moves into their number to make it their own. They were also praised by the judges, but it’s evident that Millis is one of the dancers who are struggling this season.

Meanwhile, Lex Ishimoto and all-star Gaby Diaz remain to be this season’s frontrunners. The duo hasn’t been in the bottom three, and they have also been receiving countless of praises. This week, they danced a contemporary routine, a type of dance that Ishimoto is very familiar with.

Taylor Sieve and all-star Robert Roldan were also praised this week, and she did not end up in the bottom three despite the negative criticisms they received last week. Sieve and Roldan performed a hip-hop dance number on Monday night.
