Golf ball-sized hail and tornadoes were confirmed in parts of Kansas on Sunday. However, no injuries or damages were reported.

"Widespread severe thunderstorms broke out today [Tuesday] across northern Texas, central Oklahoma, northwestern Arkansas, and southern Missouri," AccuWeather meteorologist Brett Rossio said.

The storm left eight people dead across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas over the weekend, including two children who were killed after a tree fell on the car they were in.

The Midwest and Plains are already feeling the affects of Winter Storm Wesley across the region.
