‘Taken’ Spoilers: Bryan Mills Kidnaps Carlos Mejia In Season 1, Episode 9 [VIDEO]

Bryan Mills (Clive Standen) tries to take matters into his own hands when the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) is ordered to transfer his sister’s murderer, Carlos Mejia (Romano Orzari), to the FBI in Season 1, episode 9 of NBC’s “Taken.”

In a sneak peek from the episode, Christina Hart (Jennifer Beals) tells the team that they are given that order after Mexico somehow found out that ODNI has Mejia in custody. But because there’s no other agency that knows that ODNI has Mejia, Hart figures that their security has been breached. At the end of clip, Christina asks, “Has anyone in this room at anytime for whatever reason told anyone else about our incarceration of Carlos Mejia?”

At the end of Season 1, episode 2, Bryan told Asha (Brooklyn Sudano) about Mejia, so Bryan suspects that Asha may have double-crossed him.

In another sneak peek from episode 9, Bryan asks Asha if she told anyone about Carlos Mejia, and unsurprisingly, she’s hurt by the fact that Bryan thinks that she’s spying on him.

“I thought we understood each other. Actually I thought it’s a bit more than that,” Asha tells Bryan. “I’m the one person who understands what you’ve gone through at the hands of this monster, Mejia, and now you’re accusing me of betraying you!?”

“Look at this place, locks … cameras everywhere. You obviously think someone is watching you but as soon as something bad happens you point a finger at me,” Asha continues. “How do you know you haven’t been hacked or broken into? Have you ever considered that?”

As it turns out, Elena (Layla Alizada), the woman who disguises herself as Asha’s friendly neighbor, has hacked into the security system at Bryan’s place. As revealed at end of Season 1, episode 4, Elena and her partner Juan Pablo (Ivan Wanis-Ruiz) are befriending Asha to ultimately use Bryan in finding Mejia.

According to the synopsis for the episode, the cartel’s plans to hijack Mejia’s transfer surface. But when Mejia seemingly gets away from the authorities, the promo clip for the episode reveals that it is actually Bryan, not the cartel, who took Mejia.
