‘Taken’ Spoilers: Episode 6 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘Hail Mary’? [VIDEOS]

Bryan Mills (Clive Standen) and the rest of his team at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) are tasked to facilitate the defection of a Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) agent in Season 1, episode 6 of NBC’s “Taken.”

But as revealed in the synopsis for the episode, titled “Hail Mary,” helping the FSB agent defect won’t be easy for the team, as the FSB agent’s pregnant girlfriend throws a wrench in their plans.

In a sneak peek for the episode, Bryan and his fellow ODNI agents manage to take the FSB agent, Yuri Surnuyev (Lev Gordon), into their custody. But when they inform him that they are now leaving Russia, Yuri says that he can’t get out of the country without their daughter.

It turns out that the daughter he’s referring to has yet to be born, and surprisingly, the mother of his daughter is the wife of his superior officer at FSB.

When Bryan doubts Yuri’s excuse to exit Russia, the FSB agent is left with no choice but to reveal his girlfriend’s name. “Tatjana (Anastasia Marinina), that’s her name. I swear on her life,” Yuri says.

Much to Bryan’s annoyance, Christina Hart (Jennifer Beals) orders the team to stay in Russia for the meantime and wait for further instructions. But Yuri’s defection gets more complicated when Christina finds out that there’s a mole in the team.

Meanwhile, John (Gaius Charles) faces a spiritual crisis after trying to resolve his brother’s problem with a local gang.

In another sneak peek from the episode, John’s older brother, Pastor George (Ryan Allen), appears to be asking the ODNI agent to seek revenge on the gang that killed a 13-year-old kid in their neighborhood. “What you asking me, I don’t do that anymore,” John tells his brother. “I understand [where are you coming from]. Believe me, I understand. But you got to work within the system on this.”

“Is that what I supposed to say this afternoon at the funeral,” Pastor George asks.

“Isn’t it your job to pray at the funeral?” John replies.

“Taken” Season 1, episode 6 airs on Monday, April 3 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
