Tamera Mowry-Housley Welcomes Baby Boy
Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley has given birth to a son after anxiously blogging about his impending arrival.
Aden John Tanner Housley was born on Monday at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, approximately two weeks after his Oct. 30 due date.
In Touch reports that he weighed 9 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 21.5 inches.
"We are so happy!" said Mowry’s husband, Fox News correspondent, Adam Housley.
"He is healthy, happy, strong, beautiful and our families are so excited to have another grandchild, cousin and nephew."
Mowry-Housley stars in the Style Network reality series "Tia & Tamera" with her twin sister and fellow first time mom, Tia Mowry-Hardict; the latest episode, airing Tuesday, features Tamera preparing little Aden’s nursery, according to the Daily Mail.
“There's only one place the nursery can be: [We have to] take away Adam's man-cave,” she says during the episode.
Mowry-Housley has to find other places to store the room’s contents, including Adam's golf clubs, clothes and other “manly miscellaneous items.”
“I hate getting rid of my clothes, but with the baby coming, I just have to suck it up,” she adds.
With Aden’s arrival, Mowry-Housley can finally put to rest the anxiety she revealed on the People.com mommy blog Mom’s & Babies.
“Thoughts of excitement, anxiety and exhaustion have truly set in," she wrote on Oct. 23.
"Echoes of my husband Adam's voice cheering me on saying, 'You can do it' keep ringing in my ear as I eagerly await my due date."
Mowry-Housley’s spokesperson told In Touch, "Both mommy and baby are healthy and her whole family is thrilled," adding, "He is a big strong kid and he and mom are resting well with dad alongside."
