Tarek El Moussa Didn't Think Ex Christina, Ant Anstead Would Last, Source Says

Tarek El Moussa felt that his ex Christina and Ant Anstead's relationship won't last, but their separation still saddened him, according to a source.

El Moussa and Christina were behind HGTV's hit series "Flip or Flop" but they split in 2016 to the dismay of their fans. Just recently, Christina announced her split from her second ex-husband, Anstead, less than two years after they exchanged "I dos" and their split upset El Moussa.

"Tarek is sad that Christina is going through a hard time," a source told Us Weekly.

"But [he] did not think that Christina and Ant would last."

On Friday, Christina shared a snap of her and Ant walking into the sunset while announcing their separation.

"Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future," she wrote on Instagram.

On July 30, Ant shared a throwback photo taken from their wedding day to celebrate International Friendship Day on Instagram. In the snap, Ant and Christina are seated facing each other while holding hands and resting their foreheads against each other.

Several commented on the post, with many of them urging the couple to fight for their marriage. Christina and Ant's fans voiced that they were still rooting for them at the time.

"Obviously many people love you .. that have never met you... and me included.. please please work it out!!! You two are amazing!!! And so blessed!!! Stop and look. And enjoy the children...life is not about making money. Not to me ... anyway," one commented.

"Fight for your marriage, you both are one flesh when your married, i love ya both,so sad though," another added.

"Please fight to make your relationship work - life is hard but you both deserve happiness - love you two together," a different Instagram user wrote.

Meanwhile, on the same day Ant shared the throwback photo from his wedding with Christina, El Moussa happened to also share a snap taken from his proposal to Heather Rae Young.

El Moussa and Young haven't set a wedding date yet due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the groom-to-be said their big day is happening when things are back to normal.
