Taylor Swift Parties With Harry Styles After Allegedly Dissing Him At VMAs
A video of Taylor Swift allegedly swearing when former flame Harry Styles took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards, on Sunday, has sparked speculation that there might still be some beef between the two singers.
The couple’s short-lived romance ended in December, but Swift seems to be holding on to a grudge as she was heard mouthing the phrase "Shut the f--k up" when Styles, along with his band members, came on stage to present an award.
But, soon after the VMAs, the former couple posed for a photograph at an after-show party at the SoHo Grand Hotel Club Room in New York City. The picture was uploaded on Instagram by DJ Spiky Phil and it showed the former couple at ease in each other’s company as they posed with the DJ and common friend and singer, Ed Sheeran.
Reacting to the diss, Styles said that it’s fine, and that he was treating the incident as a joke. "I like a joke as much as the next guy, so it's all good," he told Extra.
But other One Direction members were quick to call Swift’s actions “lame” and want the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer to “get over it.”
“I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it's like, concentrate on yourself!” Liam Payne told Us Weekly during the New York premiere of “This Is Us” on Monday.
Swift, who walked away with the Moonman for "Best Female Video" for “I Knew You Were Trouble,” a song that was said to be about her romance with Styles, also thanked the person who inspired the song during her acceptance speech.
"I also want to thank the person that inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these!" Swift said, while the camera zoomed in on Styles, who looked uncomfortable.
Pretending that Swift’s diss was aimed at Niall Horan and not Styles, Payne told entertainment portal Vulture, “When she said those things about Niall, we were very, very pissed off," Payne joked, to which Horan replied: "I was so upset that she would go writing songs about me after all we've been through."
