Taylor Swift Supports Miles Teller Amid Anti-Vax Rumors, Says He's 'The Greatest Dance Partner'
Taylor Swift posted a sweet message of support to her "I Bet You Think About Me" music video co-star Miles Teller amid negative reactions from fans who criticized the actor for his vaccination status.
Swift released the Blake Lively-helmed music video of "I Bet You Think About Me" on Monday, which casts Teller as a groom who is haunted by memories of his ex-girlfriend (Swift) during his wedding.
In the music video, Swift crashes the wedding of her ex-boyfriend, who is bothered by flashbacks of his ex-girlfriend on one of the most important days of his life. Teller's real-life wife, "Opeth – The Devil's Orchard" star Keleigh Sperry, plays the role of the bride.
Despite fans (known as Swifties) clapping their hands for the 31-year-old singer's new music, many of them disapproved of Teller's appearance in the video, with most of them urging the "War Dogs" actor to get vaccinated.
Swift tried to calm down the backlash by posting some behind-the-scenes shots of him and Sperry on the set of "I Bet You Think About Me" on her Twitter page Wednesday.
"So grateful for @Miles_Teller for being the greatest dance partner and friend to me. And @keleighteller, who is the coolest living human on planet earth. The bride was willing to risk it all," she wrote.
The 30-year-old actor had earlier tried to appease the fans by tweeting, "Hey guys, I don't usually feel the need to address rumors on here but I am vaccinated and have been for a while. The only thing I'm anti is hate." The tweet has since been deleted.
Rumors began in September saying that the production of "The Godfather" spinoff series, "The Offer," was shut down after the actor tested positive for Covid-19. The Hollywood Reporter, without naming the actor, said, "That positive person was publicly identified as a series star who was said to be unvaccinated...the stoppage resulted in a $6 million loss for the limited series about the making of 'The Godfather.'" A Paramount+ rep claimed that the figure was below $6 million.
It is not known when Teller had filmed the music video for "I Bet You Think About Me." The actor and his wife reportedly got vacationed in the summer.
The video of "I Bet You Think About Me" also features the voice of Chris Stapleton in the harmonies. Since its premiere, the music video has steadily gained numerous playbacks and received nearly 14 million views.
