Taylor Swift's Fans Won't Let Jake Gyllenhaal Forget He Once Dated 'All Too Well' Singer

Taylor Swift's fans have flooded Jake Gyllenhaal's Instagram with lyrics from her song "All Too Well" after the actor posted a throwback photo of himself wearing glasses.

On Monday, Sept. 28, Gyllenhaal, who dated Swift for a short while in 2010, uploaded on Instagram a black and white photo of himself wearing black-rimmed glasses to promote two charities working to help students amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"I’ve worn my glasses ever since I parted my hair meticulously with gel (see above), which is why NEW EYES has always been near and dear to my heart," he wrote.

"Since 1932, @neweyes_ has provided eyeglasses to people who needed them most," he added. "I’m thrilled that they’ve partnered with @theinspireprojectus to create Project Human: Changing the Way We See the World, a speaker series coming to schools and remote learners this fall."

While Gyllenhaal's post was meant to bring attention to a good cause, a number of Instagram users took over the comments section with lyrics from Swift's "All Too Well."

Swift is known for writing songs about her exes and "All Too Well," featured in her album "Red," is rumored to be about her three-month romance with Gyllenhaal.

"You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin sized bed,'" one fan quoted a lyric from the song.

"TS was right," another commented, also adding Swift's lyrics.

"All i hear is all too well when i look at this," a third fan wrote.

Interestingly, the song also references a scarf that Swift is believed to have left at the actor's sister Maggie Gyllenhaal's home.

Maggie, also an actress, addressed the song reference during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" in 2017, saying she was in the dark regarding the scarf.

"It's totally possible [she left a scarf at my house], I don't know," she said. "I have been asked this before and I've been like, 'What are you talking about?'"

Meanwhile, both Swift and Gyllenhaal have moved on since their brief romance.

Swift is currently in a relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, and Gyllenhaal is dating model Jeanne Cadieu.
