Is Taylor Swift's New Guy Harry Styles? Mario Lopez Confirms Couple Is ‘Hanging Out’

Taylor Swift has appeared to consciously steer away from dating musicians since her nasty break up from fellow singer-songwriter John Mayer, but now the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” songstress is rumored to be beginning a budding romance with One Direction singer Harry Styles.

Swift only very recently split from her former boyfriend Conor Kennedy. After a very public romance that even sparked rumors of a possible elopement, the couple reportedly called it quits in October. And now, Swift appears to me moving on with Styles, according onlookers who attended a recent taping of the “X Factor” where Swift, 22, and Styles, 18, were both present.

“I had to literally do a double-take," said an eyewitness source for People magazine, who claimed to have spotted the two singers looking more than just friendly.

"He was smiling at her while she rehearsed. When she was done he jumped up on stage, picked her up, put her over his shoulder and carried her off stage," said the source. "The whole crew was really surprised."

Another source added that Styles had come to the show’s taping specifically to see Swift and even sat next to her mother during the rehearsal. “Harry is there with her now. She is doing rehearsals this afternoon and he is in her group,” the source explained. “He watched her onstage going through her performance. He was sitting with her mom and the rest of her entourage.”

The sighting was also confirmed by the show’s host Mario Lopez, who said that Styles came up and slapped him on the back while Swift was rehearsing.

"I said, 'What are you doing here,'" Lopez said on air during his radio show on Friday. "And he sort of [pointed] toward Taylor."

Lopez added that he later saw Swift and Styles “walking hand-in-hand.” “'So Taylor Swift and Harry from One Direction - you heard it here first. [They're] officially hanging out, I can say that much,” Lopez said.

But a group of Styles’ devoted fans seem less than pleased with the rumored relationship, and have taken to Twitter to bombard Swift with death threats. Some of the possessive fans, who call themselves “Directioners” have aimed violent tweets at Swift, writing messages like “I’ll murder Taylor Swift. She will not date my Harry,” and “If u dating my harry, I kill u.”
