A school boy killed his tuition teacher allegedly for scolding him in front of his friends. The incident took place in the western Indian state of Maharashtra on Monday.

Police said the victim, identified as 30-year-old Ayesha Aslam Husuyae, ran coaching classes from her home. On Monday, the 12-year-old unidentified boy’s mother asked him to get some money from the teacher as she wanted to buy household items. Accordingly, the boy went to his teacher’s home and asked her some money. Husuyae refused to lend money and insulted him in front of his friends.

“When he asked Husuyae for the money, she scolded him in front of his friends. The boy told us he felt insulted. He then went home from school and returned to her house for tuitions around 8 p.m. local time (10.30 a.m. EDT). He carried a knife and stabbed her when she opened the door,” a police officer told local daily the Hindustan Times.

Neighbors rushed to Husuyae’s home after hearing her screams. They took her to a local hospital where she was declared brought dead.

“The boy was seated in the house when the neighbors rushed in. While he isn’t injured, there are signs of a scuffle on his body,” the officer said.

Police said the boy changed his statements several times and even claimed that he was given money by a man to kill the woman and that they were verifying the facts.

Meanwhile, the boy’s father said his son was a good student and that they were still in a state of shock.

“He was her best student. We had stopped sending him to tuitions as we didn’t have the money, but she was kind enough to teach him,” he said.
