Is ‘Teen Mom 2’ Scripted? Jeremy Calvert Slams MTV For Editing Of New Episode
“Teen Mom 2” star Jeremy Calvert took to Instagram Monday to slam MTV for the way they edited the reality show. He accused the network of doctoring scenes when he fought with ex-wife Leah Messer over their daughter, 3-year-old Adalynn.
The episode made it look like Calvert took Addie to Ohio without Messer’s consent and then ignored her phone calls. The reality star claimed there was more to the story.
“So, to clarify tonight’s episode about me leaving West Virginia and not updating Leah on my travels with our child I texted her at 6:24 p.m. EST and did not get a text message back until 9:38 p.m. EST when I was already in Ohio,” Calvert said in a black-and-white video. “I’m not waiting around three hours for my ex-wife to respond to me and say, ‘Yes you can take our child to Ohio or not during a disaster.’”
West Virginia experienced a fatal flood in June that claimed 23 lives. More than 100 homes and 14 businesses were destroyed, CNN reported at the time.
Calvert took his daughter to Ohio while West Virginia was under a State of Emergency. “I tried my best to communicate,” he said. “I can’t help if someone don’t answer the phone or read text messages.”
The reality star, who works as a pipeliner, accused MTV of editing the fight to it appeared more salacious to viewers. “They wanted to bring it back up to have some good drama for TV and get ratings through the roof,” he said, adding the fakery was a “bunch of bull----.”
Calvert wasn’t the only “Teen Mom 2” dad who apparently had an issue with Monday’s episode. Javi Marroquin tweeted about lies the following day. “Oh you flexin that's a big lieeee,” he tweeted.
