‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Kailyn Lowry Denies She’s Dating Becky Hayter After Javi Marroquin Divorce

“Teen Mom 2” may be currently off the air but Kailyn Lowry wants to give her fans an update on her love life. Fresh off her split from husband Javi Marroquin, rumors began swirling the MTV star was in a relationship with longtime friend Becky Hayter, but Kailyn is now shooting down rumors regarding her speculated same-sex romance.

Kailyn revealed to Real Mr. Housewife that she is not in a relationship with Becky and that there’s “nothing more” to their friendship. “We’re not in a romantic relationship at all,” the mother of two dished to the site. “In fact Becky is talking to someone else she’s interested in.”

Kailyn’s comments follow her response to Becky’s cryptic tweet about love over Fourth of July weekend, which they spent together. Kailyn, 24, didn’t publicly respond to each of Becky’s Twitter posts but she did share one of her messages that said: “She’s gonna steal my heart there’s no doubt about it” on July 4.

Rumors Kailyn is in a same-sex romance began after she was photographed kissing Becky at a gay pride parade in Asbury Park, New Jersey, on June 5. The reality star refused to confirm her sexuality after fans questioned the image, saying, “Can’t I just love people?” Kailyn continued to fuel speculation by sharing a photo of her and Becky at the event on Instagram, tagging the post “girlfriend status.”

But just because Kailyn has confirmed Becky is not her plus one that doesn’t mean she has anyone else new in her life at the moment either. An unnamed friend of Kailyn’s recently confirmed to Real Mr. Housewife the MTV lead is unattached. “Kailyn is NOT dating anyone,” a source said. “Dating [is] definitely is not her priority right now.”

Perhaps Kailyn is choosing to remain single in hopes she may work things out with Javi. The couple announced their separation in May after nearly four years of marriage, but Javi, 23, confessed during the “Teen Mom 2” Season 7 reunion that he doesn’t want to get divorced. Radar Online reports the two, who share 2-year-old son Lincoln and Kailyn’s 6-year-old son Isaac from a previous relationship, may be planning to work on their marriage after he comes home from deployment.

“They are trying to work their issues out and stay together,” a source said. “I think they both need to work on many aspects of their relationship. There are a lot of control and anger issues at play.”
