'Teen Mom 2’ Star Leah Messer-Calvert: ‘I Want To Have A Baby Boy’

Being a teen mom hasn’t stopped reality star Leah Messer-Calvert from wanting more kids.

According to the 22-year-old MTV "Teen Mom 2" lead, welcoming a fourth child with her husband, Jeremy Calvert, 25, isn’t completely out of the question.

“We would have loved to have a boy, of course,” Messer-Calvert told Life & Style Magazine of her brood which currently includes twins Ali and Aleeah, 4, from a previous relationship, and the couple’s daughter Adalynn, now 17 months.

While the duo, who tied the knot in June 2012, may have plans to add another child to their family, Messer-Calvert insists that fans should not expect a pregnancy announcement anytime soon.

“I can rule it out for the next five years,” she said.

The mom of three last spoke out about her family to Life & Style earlier this month, updating fans on her daughter Ali’s incurable medical diagnosis of muscular dystrophy, a genetic disease that causes muscles to weaken over time.

“Ali is really smart and she’s well aware of her disease but she doesn’t let it burden her,” Messer-Calvert told the magazine. “She knows she’s different but she strives not to show it.”

Despite Ali’s private medical struggles, which will most likely cause her to need a wheelchair one day, Messer-Calvert said she will never stop encouraging her daughter to be strong.

“We try to build up her self-esteem by telling her that every time she gets up from a fall, it means she’s stronger than before,” she said. “She’s going to be the happiest girl. I don’t care what I have to do to make it possible. I will never give up fighting for Ali.”
