'Teen Mom OG' Star Mackenzie McKee Confirms Split From Husband: 'I'm Breaking My Silence'

“Teen Mom OG” star Mackenzie McKee and her husband Josh McKee have split. The reality star took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce that they had called it quits after nine years of marriage, saying it’s time for her to find her happiness.

Sharing snaps with Josh, Mackenzie wrote, “With all the messages I’m receiving and articles coming out, I wanted you guys to hear what’s going on from me alone. Sometimes things work and sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, it just doesn’t work out.”

“I’m breaking my silence about Josh and I being done. I will always respect him as the father of my children but it’s time for me to find my happy [sic]” she concluded.

The post was flooded with messages of love and support from Mackenzie’s fans and “Teen Mom OG” co-stars, including Lindsie Chrisley, who wrote, “Keep your head high & stay steadfast in your walk with the Lord.”

“I’m so proud of you. You are strong, beautiful, amazing mother. God will guide you through this,” another fan wrote.

In an earlier interview, Mackenzie reiterated why she would never talk bad about Josh and expressed her excitement about moving on with her life. “The old me would have released a story about how awful Josh is, what he did and why this marriage is ending. The new me understands that we are both walking away from this with deep scars and our kids love us both despite the pain we brought one another,” the 27-year-old explained.

“We are human, we are all human on this earth just trying to make it,” she added.

Mackenzie said despite their separation, she’s grateful for everything that her years of marriage to Josh had taught her. “I’m so thankful for the past 12 years with Josh and what they taught me,” she said. “Josh and I are both still young with an entire life ahead of us. I wish nothing but peace and happiness for him and his future.”

Mackenzie and Josh’s love story was first featured on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” in 2011. They are parents to Gannon, 10, Jaxie, 8, and Broncs, 5.
