Teresa Giudice ‘Had No Idea’ Luis Ruelas Was Going To Propose During Greece Vacation

Teresa Giudice has dished on Luis Ruelas’ surprise proposal during their trip to Greece.

The 49-year-old “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star did a cooking tutorial on Amazon Live Thursday, and while she was busy preparing meals, she decided to answer some questions from her fans.

When her viewers asked her about her recent engagement, Giudice couldn’t help but gush over Ruelas’ proposal, which took place Oct. 19 at the Amanzoe Resort in Porto Heli, Greece.

The Bravo star said she had no idea that her 46-year-old beau was going to finally pop the question during their getaway with some of their friends.

“I had no idea. I thought we were just going on vacation,” she was quoted as saying by Entertainment Tonight.

According to the Bravo star, she was invited by her friends out to dinner that night. She was told that they were headed to a beach party, but to her surprise, Ruelas was already waiting for her to get to the beach to see the beautiful setup he made for the proposal.

As reported previously, the businessman prepared sparklers, roses and candles. He also had a large “Marry Me” sign and hired a violinist to play a tune when Giudice arrived. There was also a display of fireworks in the sky that night.

“As he’s [proposing]. the sparklers are going off and then the fireworks are going off, so I’m a little kid, just looking all around,” she said in her livestream.

“I was like, ‘Oh my god!’ I started crying and it was really nice,” she recalled before describing the moment as “really magical” and “so beautiful.”

The reality star further shared that Ruelas actually informed her four daughters — Gia, 20, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 12, — about the proposal beforehand. So, they already knew that he would pop the question during the trip.

Giudice’s revelations came a day after she and Ruelas were spotted out and about in New York City Wednesday night. The couple reportedly went to see Giudice’s brother Joe Gorga’s sold-out comedy show at Caroline Comedy Club.

Joe Giudice’s ex-wife proudly showed off her new sparkler when they were snapped outside the venue. One photo obtained by People showed the stunning oval-cut diamond band that Giudice was sporting.

“He's given her the ability to laugh and love again, after everything she has been through,” a source told the outlet after saying that Giudice and Ruelas are a “great match.”
