'Thor: Love And Thunder': Theories About Christian Bale's Role
KEY POINTS
- Christian Bale is reportedly in talks to join "Thor: Love and Thunder"
- Beta Ray Bill is one of most highly anticipated characters
- Dario Agger is one of the comic book characters Bale can play
With reports of Christian Bale joining “Thor: Love and Thunder” surfacing online, speculation is rife about the character he will play. There have been multiple suggestions online about the comic book characters he can play, including some classic villains.
The first and perhaps the most highly anticipated character the fans are looking forward to is Beta Ray Bill. According to CBR, Bale is the perfect actor to play this role because he will offer a serious side of the story that can balance out Chris Hemsworth’s funny side. Besides, the Batman actor is known for his voiceover abilities that will come in handy for an alien character.
According to another theory by CBR, Marvel can also consider Bale to play Dario Agger, a character who was one of major villains. In the comics, Agger was given the power to transform into a huge monster after he prayed to a statue of a Minotaur as a child.
In his human form, Agger was the CEO of Roxxon Industries, which is one of the biggest corporations in Marvel. He was also an antagonist to Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), which is significant because Jane is set to become the Goddess of Thunder in “Thor: Love and Thunder.”
Bale could also play an Asguardian god in the upcoming film, IGN reported. Cul Borson was known as the God of Fear in the comics. He went on to corrupt heroes and villains to spread fear and destruction on earth, and he was also responsible for the death of Thor. If Hemsworth’s character is set to die in the upcoming film, Cul may be the one responsible for it.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” is being directed by Taika Waititi. The film is set to be released on Nov. 5, 2021. Details about Bale’s role and other casting announcements are expected in the coming months.
