Tiny Harris-T.I. Update: Rapper Confirms He’s Single, Says Marriage Was A Distraction

After months of speculation, rapper T.I. has finally confirmed that he and Tiny Harris have broken up, and he is now single. Having married in 2010, Tiny filed for divorce from the rapper in December 2016, but according to T.I., things are still good between them.

Appearing on the Angie Martinez radio show, the hip-hop artist said there is no beef between him and Tiny. “Like, we’re good. We’re straight. Everybody else got the problem. We see each other, we speak, we talk, we spend time together. We’re good,” he told Martinez.

Despite their separation, T.I. maintains that he and Tiny are still best friends but admitted that he might be a better pal than spouse. “That’s still one of the best friends in the world that I’ve ever had. I can just be a better best friend than a husband.”

It was the rapper’s later comments that had Twitter buzzing when he claimed marriage was a distraction for him. “It seems to me that marriage and what marriage means and what marriage does — it’s just one of those things that’s going to distract me and deter me. And that could be selfish, but ultimately, I’m the patriarch of this family.”

Following T.I.’s comments, Tiny’s friend, Sabrina Peterson, took to Instagram and threw some shade at the rapper. “Don’t give a man your good years, become a felon for him, let go of friends, give up your career… because one day he might get to where y’all worked to hard to be and consider you a ‘distraction,’” she wrote.

The rapper is reportedly now dating model Bernice Burgos which has led to arguments between Tiny and the model on social media. During the same Angie Martinez interview, T.I. said the feud between the two has nothing to do with him because it’s “women’s business.”

When asked if he was worried if the feud would “show up at his door,” the rapper replied, “I bet it won’t.”
