KEY POINTS

  • Multiclassing is unlocked as part of the main story
  • The secondary class pick can be changed after finishing the main campaign
  • Only one Action Skill can be equipped

There are a handful of classes in “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands,” and unlike the previous entries in the “Borderlands” series, players can actually select a second class for their character to use alongside their main choice.

Wielding the power of two classes at once is extremely powerful in a game like “Wonderlands.” Luckily, it can be unlocked fairly early into the game as part of the main questline.

Multiclassing is unlocked by finishing the main quest in the Weepwild Dankness, which can be reached shortly after arriving at the main hub town of Brighthoof. Players should be around Level 15 by this time, assuming they did a fair bit of sidequests and grinding while on their way to the town.

Players will have to help Brighthoof with its skeleton problem as well as defeat the big Zomboss in the catacombs beneath the Shattergrave Barrow. Defeating the boss will unlock all of Brighthoof, but the quest to unlock multiclassing doesn’t end here.

After returning to the hub, players will be told to go to the Weepwild Dankness to visit to find a bard. Longtime fans of the “Borderlands” series can probably already tell who this bard is.

Proceed through the quest normally, and the multiclass feature will be unlocked. Go to the Character Skills panel, and a new option should now be available.

Take note that while players will be able to enjoy the talents of their secondary class, only one Action Skill may be selected at any given time. As such, it’s better to pick a secondary class that greatly synergizes with the first when passive talents and bonuses are considered.

If players don’t like the second class they picked, they’ll be able to replace it with a different one later. However, players will have to finish the final mission of the main quest line before they can access this feature, so make sure to choose wisely.

Finishing the main storyline will allow players to change their secondary class at any of the game’s Quick-Change Stations. This is especially useful in the endgame as it opens up build experimentation to help players tackle some of the game’s most difficult encounters in Chaos Chambers and Trials.
