‘’Tis The Season To Be Merry’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
As quickly as it came in, Hallmark Channel’s very merry holiday season is coming to a close with its final new “Countdown to Christmas” 2021 premiere, “’Tis the Season To Be Merry.” The film, which stars Rachael Leigh Cook and Travis Van Winkle, premieres Sunday night.
Fans will be in for a treat with the final new film of the season, as it brings together two faces they will certainly recognize for their first film together. Not only is Cook known for her roles in the Netflix films “He’s All That” and “Love, Guaranteed,” but she is very familiar to Hallmark fans entirely. Not only has she starred in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film “A Blue Ridge Christmas,” but also the Hallmark Channel titles “Cross Country Christmas,” “Valentine in the Vineyard,” “Frozen In Love,” “Summer in the Vineyard,” “Autumn in the Vineyard” and “Summer Love.”
As for Van Winkle, fans also likely recognize him for his roles in “Christmas Getaway” and the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries film “Project Christmas Wish.” He was most recently seen in Season 3 of “You” on Netflix.
Karen Malina White (“Love, For Real”) also stars.
“Merry (Cook) is a successful dating advice writer and influencer living in Boston. But, despite her widely shared rules for dating, she hasn’t yet found love for herself,” a synopsis reads. “Merry writes a book based on her real-life experiences with love and unintentionally includes a fictional, perfect fiancé named Dale that her publisher Sonia (White) believes is real.”
After going home with her best friend, Merry realizes she needs to figure out a way to come clean and tell the truth to her publisher before the book is published and her reputation is ruined—which leads to her once again unintentionally finding something new and unexpected.
“Merry quickly runs into Adam (Van Winkle), Darlene’s brother, and sparks fly. They have very different views on what it takes for two people to fall in love but soon realize that, despite how incompatible they are on paper, they’re falling for each other,” the synopsis reads. “As Christmas approaches, Merry learns she can let go of some of her rules for love while Adam realized there is plenty of room in his heart to try again. When she decides to take a chance on her feelings for Adam, Merry also finds the perfect solution to her book.”
“’Tis the Season to be Merry” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
