'Today' Stars Savannah Guthrie, Jenna Bush Hager's Unexpected Connection Shared For The First Time
Over the years, "Today" has featured a variety of anchors that viewers watch each morning when they tune in to the NBC morning news show. As a result, many have also become interested in their personal lives and relationships outside of Studio 1A, including how former host Matt Lauer once quietly affected the career of a colleague and Hoda Kotb's 2019 engagement to Joel Schiffmann.
In recent years, the interest in the NBC personalities has also surrounded Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager, who recently revealed a private connection that they share.

During an Instagram Live that was posted to E! In The Room's account, Bush Hager revealed to journalist Jason Kennedy just how close she is to Guthrie.
"I've never said this before, but Savannah is Hal's godmother," she told Kennedy, adding that they also go to the same church. She then revealed that after her grandfather, George H. W. Bush, passed away in 2018, Guthrie had also written "beautiful prayers" for her.
The co-host of "Today with Hoda & Jenna" then continued about Kotb as well. "And Hoda is like that to me in so many ways, too. To work with somebody like Hoda, who really lifts people up, whose kindness and grace is just remarkable, I feel so lucky."
The entire conversation can be seen in the clip below.
Aside from the recent interview, NBC's "Today" has remained not only a fixture of morning news but also a topic of conversation in and of itself. Due to the spread of COVID-19, the show has had to take new steps when it comes to some of the ways in which it operates on a day-to-day basis.
Not only have "Today" weatherman Al Roker and Guthrie herself opted to complete their on-air appearances from their homes at certain points, but Kotb has also revealed the "incredible" part of self-isolating amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as well.
