Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley pre-recorded the latest episode of their podcast "Chrisley Confessions," where they talked about their current tribulations.

Todd and Julie spoke about their hopes in getting through their tribulations in the latest episode of their podcast Wednesday. It was presumed that the celebrity couple pre-recorded it because they reported to prison Tuesday to begin their sentences.

Todd spoke about their lawyers working for them and putting their faith in God. He was hoping that the appellate court would grant their appeal.

In a previous episode, the "Chrisley Knows Best" stars said their lawyers would be filing an appeal, so they won't be talking about the case anymore.

"The legal system, which we've never been a part of until now, is a very complex system that we just are still learning, and we don't know, which is why we have all these attorneys that work for us," the 53-year-old celebrity said, People reported. "You just have to hope and pray to God that when one division of the judicial system fails, that the next level, which is the appellate court, sees the mistakes and tries to correct those mistakes."

He added, "That's the best that you can hope for. And you have to put your faith in God and hope that God is going to lift you up and push you forward. And that's what we're doing right now."

He acknowledged that many people are going through worse than them, and he believes that whatever they are going through is temporary.

"I think that that's why I'm in a better place with it, because I know that this is not my final destination," he said. "I know that this may be my future for a minute, but I also have faith that the judicial system is going to turn it around. I also have faith that the appellate court is going to see this for what it is."

Todd added that they would let their attorneys speak about their case. Julie is as hopeful as her husband that they will receive justice in due time.

"We do believe that this test will become a testimony," Julie, 50, said. "We do believe that there is purpose in this pain, and we do not believe that this is the end of the road for us, that we are just beginning to scratch the surface of God's will for our lives. We thank every person who listens to our podcast. We just thank you for that and thank you for your prayers."

Todd and Julie were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion. He was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison while she was set to serve seven years.

Todd checked in to Federal Prison Camp Pensacola, a maximum-security facility in Pensacola, Florida, on Tuesday. Julie reported to Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
