Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Todd Rundgren has opened up about working with Kanye West on his newly released music album, "Donda" and called him a "shoe designer" and “dilettante.”

"[West] He’s just a dilettante at this point," the 73-year-old musician told Ultimate Classic Rock on Tuesday. Rundgren further noted that nobody would make records like that regularly unless they got "stupid money" to waste.

The musician further told the outlet that he kept getting called by the rapper for adding vocals to the record. However, when it got into the "homestretch in July," he simply said, "that's enough" for him as he had no idea if any of this will be used, according to the report.

Rundgren further revealed that he has “three albums worth of Kanye stems” on his computer. The musician further added, "You don't get much feedback from him regarding what it is."

According to the musician, he began to help West on the "Donda" album after he requested him to collaborate and he didn't mind working on West’s gospel stuff.

"If you want to sing about Jesus, go ahead, I don't care. I'll help ya do it, you know? If you want to sing about your troubles with your wife, go ahead and do it. I don't care," he referred to West's estranged wife Kim Kardashian.

Rundgren noted that he was not kept in the loop during the creative process and noted that West should have informed him whether his contribution was worth it or not so that he could consider himself "out" of it.

The "Faithful' star also noted that his involvement in the album went on for a year but then West "hurriedly wrapped the whole thing up and put out what is obviously really raw, unprocessed stuff."

The musician explained that it was because of Drake as West was "too afraid that Drake would one-up him, so he hurried up and released the album the weekend before Drake could get his out. And in the end, Drake ate his lunch anyway."

Rundgren isn't the only musician who bashed West following the "Donda" album release. Last month, rapper Soulja Boy also slammed the fellow rapper for not featuring his verse in the "Remote Control" music track.

Boy took to Twitter on Aug. 29 to share screenshots of his conversation with West.

The next day, on Aug. 30, he dropped the verse he made for West on Twitter.

"Donda" album was released on Aug. 29 and featured 27 music tracks, including "God Breathed," "Praise God," "Ok Ok," and "Moon."
