Tom Brady Posts Rare Tribute To Ex-Girlfriend Bridget Moynahan On Her 50th Birthday

Tom Brady shared a rare and sweet tribute to his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan on social media when she celebrated her 50th birthday this Wednesday.

The Super Bowl 2021 MVP wished Moynahan a "great" day on her milestone birthday and shared a throwback photo of her with their 13-year-old son, John "Jack" Edward, at the 2018 U.S. Open in New York.

Brady accompanied the image with the message, "Happy Birthday @bridgetmoynahan we hope you have a GREAT day," according to People.

Moynahan and Brady have been friendly in their social media posts about each other in the past months. In fact, when Brady was awarded another MVP at the most recent Super Bowl, the "Blue Bloods" star was among the celebrities who celebrated his achievement on social media.

"I am pretty sure I am not the only one from #patriotsnation celebrating @buccaneers #superbowl #greatgame #strong #soproud #55," she wrote.

Brady kissed his wife, Giselle Bundchen, after the Feb. 7 game, where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs. The supermodel was cheering him on from the sidelines at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, during Super Bowl 55. Their kids Benjamin, 11, and Vivian, 8, along with Brady and Moynahan's son, Jack, then joined him on the field when he accepted the trophy.

According to Us Weekly, Moynahan and Brady started seeing each other in 2004. Their relationship lasted for over two years before they called it quits in 2006 when she was still pregnant with their son. The "I, Robot" star gave birth to their child in August 2007.

"[Tom] was there on that day and came in afterwards," Moynahan told More magazine in 2011 about her labor. "He certainly wasn’t holding my hand while I pushed."

In 2008, Moynahan opened up about her split from the NFL superstar. She said she preferred to be a single mom at the time.

"I’m not sure anyone — and I could be wrong in this — grows up thinking, ‘I want to be a single mom,’" she told Harper's Bazaar. "When you’re suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you’re in your 30s, it’s a hard conversation. I’m a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that’s the way I’d be doing this. For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family."

She admitted that she started sobbing when she came home alone with her baby. "It's frightening," she said.

Meanwhile, in 2009, Bundchen admitted that she and Brady had already been dating for two months when she learned that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant with his child. But the model said she loved Jack like he was her own child.

"I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that's important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he's my son, from the first day," Bundchen said.

In 2014, Moynahan, Brady and Bundchen were spotted together at the park with their kids in New York City amid rumors that there was animosity between the three.
