Tom Brady And Wife Gisele Bündchen Reportedly 'Hitting A Rough Patch'

Football quarterback Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bündchen are having "a lot of tension" in their marriage after the NFL player decided to end his retirement and resume playing football, according to a report.

The 42-year-old Brazilian fashion model isn't happy with Brady's decision to resume his professional football career after retirement, People reported Wednesday. "There's a lot of tension," a source was quoted as saying by the outlet. "She was so happy when he announced his retirement, and she wasn't thrilled at all when he went back on that."

The source further revealed that the couple is "hitting a rough patch." However, the source also confirmed that the couple is trying to figure out how to make their marriage work, especially Brady.

"I know they're trying, or at least he's trying, to figure it out and make it work," the source added. "He wants to get through this and for things to get better."

The rumors of the tension between the couple began when Brady took a leave last month from practicing with his football team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. At that time, the head coach Todd Bowles said, "He's going to deal with some personal things."

Brady, who returned after 11 days of break, addressed his absence. He said: "Everyone has different situations they're dealing with, and we all have unique challenges to our lives. I'm 45 years old, man. There's a lot of s--- going on, so you just have to try and figure out life the best you can. You know, it's a continuous process."

During an interview with talk show host Charlie Rose in 2017, Bündchen mentioned how she was concerned about her husband's health. "He had a concussion last year, I mean he has concussions pretty much every--you know, we don't talk about it but he does have concussions," she was cited as saying by CBS news.

"I don't really think it's a healthy thing for your body to go through like, through that kind of aggression like, all the time--that cannot be healthy for you, right?" The model further shared how she was planning for her husband to live a healthy and do more fun activities.

The football quarterback shares two kids - Benjamin Brady, 12, and Vivian Lake Brady, 9 - with Bündchen. The couple got married in 2009.

Besides these two kids, Brady also shares a 15-year-old son named John Edward Thomas Moynahan with actress Bridget Moynahan.
