Toni Braxton Wardrobe Malfunction: Singer Comments On Exposing Derriere During Performance [PHOTO]
Last week, Toni Braxton suffered a major wardrobe malfunction while performing for an audience in New Jersey. Wearing a blue and silver sequined dress, the singer seemed oblivious to her falling dress, which showed off her derriere.
While singing, “You’re Making Me High,” the 45-year-old’s dress malfunctioned, but no one in the audience told her, until she invited two fans onstage to dance with her and she continued singing. One of the men gave her his suit jacket to cover her assets. She then laughed and sang “Between the Sheets” by the Isley Brothers as her sister Trina and her personal assistant went onstage to fix the malfunctioning dress.
Braxton, ever the professional, finally took off her dress, showing the audience a nude bodysuit, but she kept the suit jacket on. She recently commented on the incident, telling Yahoo’s OMG Insider, “I was uncomfortable. I can’t deny I was uncomfortable, but I made it work and the audience kind of laughed and it turned into a burlesque show. I should have charged more for the tickets. Who knew?”
The award-winning singer is certainly no stranger to showing skin. She wore one of the most revealing dresses of all time at the Grammies in 2001, when she showed off her thighs and chest. "I've always gone a little risque with all my other awards [show outfits]," she said later about the outfit. "I decided that before I got married and had babies, I’d wear this."
Meanwhile, the talented singer has won six Grammy awards during her R&B career, most recently in 2001 for “He Wasn’t Man Enough.” She also currently stars with her three sisters on a reality show called “Braxton Family Values,” which chronicles her singing career and family dramas.
