Whitney Holding Corp. (WTNY) plunged 3.64 percent to $13.51 in the after-market session. Law offices of Howard G. Smith said it is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of Whitney Holding related to the company’s agreement to be acquired by Hancock Holding Co. (HBHC) for an estimated $1.5 billion all-stock deal.
