'Top Gun: Maverick': Miles Teller Reveals Tom Cruise's Hilarious Reaction To The Actor's Health Issues
Miles Teller shared how Tom Cruise responded after learning about Teller's blood reports amid filming, "Top Gun: Maverick."
The 35-year-old actor revealed he fell sick after flying a fighter jet and landing, adding that he started feeling itchy.
"So we landed, I’m just like, ‘I’m not feeling too good,’ and I was really hot, and I just started itching like crazy," Teller said on the "Late Night With Seth Meyers" show Wednesday. "So I get out of the jet, and I’m just covered in hives, like, head to toe."
The actor further shared that he got his blood tests done after a doctor suggested the same. "My bloodwork comes back, and I have flame-retardant, pesticides and jet fuel in my blood," Teller revealed.
Cruise, who asked Teller regarding the results of his blood test, gave him a hilarious response after knowing that there is jet fuel found in Teller's blood.
"So then I go to set the next day, and Tom’s like, ‘So, how did it go, Miles, what did they find?’ Teller said. “I was like, ‘Well, Tom, it turns out I have jet fuel in my blood.’ And without even skipping a beat, Tom just goes, ‘Yeah, I was born with it, kid.’"
"Top Gun: Maverick" was released in theaters on May 24 and it made a whopping $120 million in North America during its opening weekend.
The flick also stars Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell, Monica Barbaro, Ed Harris, Jon Hamm, Jean Louisa Kelly and Lyliana Wray.
This is not the first time when Teller shared an incident from "Top Gun: Maverick" as previously he opened up about a near-death experience.
"I definitely had a moment where I thought I was going to die," the actor said last month. "There was a sequence where we were heading straight towards the ground and you do what’s called a max G pull-up."
When he realized the jet was heading toward the ground, he stopped acting, Teller revealed. "I looked at the ground, and thought this wasn’t going to end well for me," he added.
Considering upcoming projects, Teller will be next seen in the movies like "Spiderhead," "The Fence" and "Not Without Hope."
