AT&T counters Verizon iPhone with unlimited calling

AT&T, which is losing its hold on the iPhone to Verizon, has introduced a new feature to its customers that offers unlimited calling to any mobile number in the United States. AT&T's new offer is an attempt to counter an impending switch of iPhone customers to Verizon, which will be debuting iPhone 4 starting today.

AT&T To Unveil Mobile Hotspot App For Smartphones

AT&T is set to unveil a new mobile hotspot application that lets smartphone customers tether multiple devices via Wi-Fi connection. The feature will first be available on February 13 to select smartphone customers, starting with the launch of HTC Inspire 4G, the company said.

Verizon iPhone 4 available for pre-orders from Feb. 3

Apple Inc. said its CDMA iPhone 4 will be available for pre-orders from Thursday at Apple stores and Verizon Wireless. Apple said orders will be fulfilled on a first come, first served basis due to strong demand.

Sprint hikes Premium Data charges by $10, but still better than other carriers

In terms of unlimited data plans, Sprint is way ahead of other carriers. Presently, Sprint Everything Data plan, with free calls to any mobile phone with unlimited data comes to $79.99 for a month whereas Verizon Wireless offers unlimited at $119.98 and T-Mobile offers $99.99 a month. But AT&T doesn’t offer any unlimited data plan.
