'Total War: Rome 2' Patch 3 Beta Release Coming Friday?
"Total War: Rome 2" Patch 2 has been released, but still hasn't fixed the issues plaguing many fans of the game, including low framerates, graphical glitches, weak AI and more.
Fortunately, Creative Assembly says that "Total War: Rome 2" Patch 3 will enter the "beta testing phase soon." However, they also said that the fixes contained in "Total War: Rome 2" Patch 3 will include fixes for "specific hardware configurations."
This statement makes it sound as if "Total War: Rome 2" Patch 3 could be akin to "Total War: Rome 2" Patch 1.5, which only addressed fixes for PCs that were powered by mid-range CPUs combined with high-end graphics cards.
Creative Assembly also acknowledged the problems gamers have had with crashes ever since "Total War: Rome 2" Patch 2 was released.
For what it's worth, past "Total War: Rome 2" beta patches have been made available on Fridays, along with their respective patch notes. For example, "Total War: Rome 2" Patch 2 beta was made available for download on September 13, which was a Friday. With that in mind, a "Total War: Rome 2" Patch 3 beta release tomorrow isn't out of the question, which could translate to a full release by early next week.
Whether "Total War: Rome 2" Patch 3 fixes the issues that has been bogging the game down to this point is another matter entirely.
