  • Arsenal fans are aware his time at the Emirates Stadium has come to a close

Hector Bellerin has fallen down the ranks with Arsenal, and it comes to no surprise that the Spanish defender is imminently headed out the door.

Bellerin has allegedly informed the Gunners that he intends to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer--a development that Inter Milan would welcome, Gianluca Di Marzio reported.

The 26-year-old player struggled under the watch of Mikel Arteta. He had several poor outings, and this led to him spending more time on the bench.

He was the third-choice right-back on the team, and reports of the Gunners looking for a new right-back further pushed the belief that Bellerin is likely leaving the squad.

While adding new right-backs has been in the air for quite some time now, Arteta and company have not gotten much look thus far.

Regardless, that will not stop Bellerin from moving forward and join other clubs that could put him to better use.

Uncanny as it may sound, Arsenal fans appear to support the move of Bellerin.

The Spanish football player has been a long-time fan-favorite, but most feel it is time to move on from the defender.

So far, the only defensive player that Arsenal has signed is Nuno Tavares. Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton has also been linked to the Gunners as both teams are reportedly in discussions for the 24-year-old football player.

As mentioned in a previous post, Neve is valued at £45 million ($62.5 million). Arsenal is believed to be negotiating for a smaller deal.

There is no telling if the Gunners will be successful in convincing the Wolves for Neves’ services.

Aside from Arsenal, also keeping tabs with the Neves situation is Manchester United. The Portuguese player is under contract with the Wanderers until 2024.

As for Bellerin, there remains no clarity on whether he will be moving to Nerazzurri this summer.

Arsenal is reportedly open to a loan deal with an option to buy–something that can be an obligation if the set criteria are met.

Bellerin joined Arsenal in 2011 and has made 239 appearances with the Gunners. He has won three FA cups and three Community Shields during that span.
