  • Arsenal nearing loan deal for Philippe Coutinho
  • West Ham also interested in Coutinho's services
  • Coutinho could rejuvenate career playing for another team

Philippe Coutinho may not end up unemployed once his loan spell at Bayern Munich comes to a close. It appears Arsenal F.C.'s interest in the 28-year-old is for real and that negotiations are now in the advanced stages. A deal could be struck soon.

According to Sport, Coutinho will remain on loan by FC Barcelona but this time to the Gunners. Mikel Arteta is trying to beef up his defensive line and Coutinho is on his wish list. Barca has been desperately trying to shop the Brazilian after failing to live up to the hefty $190 million investment made on him in 2018.

A move to Emirates Stadium is looming large mainly because of the efforts of Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian. So far, he has already brought David Luiz and Cedric Soares to Arsenal. He is also handling Willian Borges da Silva although the Brazilian is likely to stay at Stamford Bridge. As mentioned in a previous post, the Blues have granted the three-year deal to Willian although it has yet to be signed by the 31-year-old winger.

Though the reports from Sport claims that Arsenal is bent on getting Coutinho, West Ham remains in the mix. it appears The Hammers have rekindled interest in the 28-year-old player, someone they considered back in January.

Barcelona had hoped to completely offload Coutinho to Bayern but the club was unwilling to sign him permanently. Coutinho has three years left in his current deal with Barca.

Despite his struggles, it may come as a surprise to some that there are clubs still interested in Coutinho. There was a reason why Barca pursued him, most of which happened when he was still playing for Liverpool F.C.

The Reds are another team linked to the Brazilian. It was there were Coutinho rose to prominence that drew Barca's interest. Jurgen Klopp tried everything to convince him to stay but the 28-year-old opted to move to Camp Nou. Unfortunately, that was a decision that will haunt Coutinho moving forward.

He hardly impressed with Bayern but can still recover his bearings. A move to Arsenal, West Ham, or some other club could help rejuvenate his career. All Coutinho can do now is hope he continues playing and for the right club.
