Trump-Putin Edition Nokia 3310 Available For $2,250 With Titanium Body, Damascus Steel Pattern
A Russian company has launched its own customized version of the Nokia 3310, to commemorate the meeting of President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of G20 Summit taking place on Friday.
The device, by Caviar Inc., comes just a few months after Nokia’s parent company HMD Global’s announcement of the return of the 3310, which was originally launched in 2000.
In contrast to the regular Nokia 3310 which costs $50, Caviar's customised version comes at a price of 149,000 rubles ($2,250).

The body of the phone is made of Titanium, with a special Damascus Steel Pattern. It has gold highlights around the display and at the back. At the back of the device, Caviar has put its own label above the camera; below it there is a gold-plated circular emblem of President Trump and Putin looking in the same direction. A small placard below the emblem commemorates the 2017 G20 summit in Hamburg.
While the phone looks, well, unique, what is even more interesting is Caviar’s description of the device on its website.
“In honor of the meeting of the Russian and US presidents, Caviar created a collection model of the Nokia 3310 with portraits of the leaders of the two countries. For the first time profiles of both presidents are placed on one device. The fact that their views are directed in one direction - no doubt expresses the general desire to achieve progress in Russian-American relations,” the description says.
President Donald Trump has shown a more friendly attitude towards Russia, specifically Putin. He even met the Russian Ambassador to U.S. Sergey Kislyak in the White House.
“However, we should not forget about the principledness and firmness necessary to protect justice and our own interests, the interests of our country - in order to emphasize precisely these features, the designers used tempered titanium with the damask steel pattern," the description continues.
The company is pegging the phone as a memorable gift for "everyone who is not indifferent to modern history and politics."
"As you know - if you do not engage in politics - politics will take care of you,” the description ends with something which sounds like a warning to buyers , who are expected to be exceedingly Russian nationals.
In the emblem on the back of the phone, both the leaders are seen facing left, and is similar to many portraits of communist leaders have done in the past — it even looks similar to a portrait of Chinese leader Mao Zedong with Lenin and Karl Marx.

President Trump’s presidency has been bogged down by allegations of a warm attitude towards Russia, which is in stark contrast to the policy of previous presidents including Barack Obama, who imposed sanctions on the country for its attack on Ukraine.
Investigations are also being conducted into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn is also being investigate for his ties to Russia.
