Truth About Barack, Michelle Obama’s $150M Divorce, Former First Lady Upstaging Husband

Rumors have surfaced claiming that Barack and Michelle Obama’s marriage is on the rocks, but there is no proof supporting the new claims.

Globe published a report claiming that the former U.S. president and former first lady are divorcing. Barack and Michelle are allegedly getting a $150 million divorce.

Barack is reportedly fighting with his wife’s “snooty Hollywood lifestyle.” On the other hand, Michelle doesn’t like her husband’s refusal to get a “real job” after he left the White House.

“When Barack hurled his ring at Michelle, that was the end. Word is, they’re both consulting high-powered divorce attorneys. They’re not even speaking to each other at this point. They have their ‘people’ communicating for them,” an unnamed source told the tabloid.

The tabloid’s only proof was Barack not wearing his wedding ring during a speaking engagement in Germany on Sept. 29. However, the act wasn’t new at all. Barack always takes off his wedding ring whenever he is in public because he does a lot of handshaking and doesn’t want to risk losing his wedding band.

The insider added that Michelle wanted to get revenge to her husband by running for president. She reportedly wanted to humiliate her husband by showing to him that she is more popular by winning the White House. Barack was stunned after learning that Michelle was “looking to upstage his political legacy.”

However, the report isn’t true at all. Michelle already said that there’s “zero chance” that she would run for president. Michelle added that there are a lot of ways to improve the country and build a better world other than serving in the office as the president. The former first lady believed that sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office is not an option for her.

There are rumors claiming that Michelle and Barack are splitting. However, based on Michelle’s previous statements, it’s unlikely that they would give up on their marriage easily.

“There are a lot of young people who look at me and Barack ... and they think, ‘Oh, I want those #relationshipgoals,’” Michelle said. “But I want young people to know that marriage is work. Even the best marriages require work.”
