Truth About Blake Shelton Pressuring Gwen Stefani For Joint Album
A report which claimed Blake Shelton was pushing Gwen Stefani to make a joint album was false, stated Gossip Cop on Monday.
The website said the claim was fabricated by Hollywood Life, which published the original report. The article said Shelton was pushing for a joint album, while Stefani was not onboard the idea. They quoted an “exclusive” anonymous source who said, “Blake would love to make an album with Gwen…he would love for them to be a modern version of Johnny and June Cash, so they can work together and tour together.”
“Gwen is a little more realistic though, and she wonders how they could meld their very different music styles together because she wants to always remain authentic. Blake is very much of the belief set though that where there’s a will there’s a way so, he constantly brings it up and it’s definitely a discussion point, so never rule it out, although he takes a lot more seriously than Gwen,” the same source said.
Gossip Cop contacted Stefani’s representative who confirmed the report was false, and said Shelton was not pushing the former to make an album together.
The report also said Hollywood Life failed to mention the two had already made music together before, as was the case in “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” on Shelton’s 2016 album “If I’m Honest,” among others. However, the blog did mention they reached out to representatives of both artists for comment.
A previous report about what Shelton and Stefani will wish for at their wedding by Hollywood Life was also debunked by Gossip Cop.
“There isn’t anything brewing on a specific engagement or time for the two to get married, but one thing they would love to see happen at their future wedding that they have talked about a couple times is that they’d like Kelly Clarkson to sing for them at it,” another anonymous source told Hollywood Life. “They are such great friends and Blake would like to have Kelly share in that moment with her beautiful voice. It would be very special.”
“Gwen is in no rush to tie the knot with Blake,” the same source continued. “They are really happy and are just enjoying their time together. While Gwen might love a big wedding, she doesn’t need one right away. Both Blake and Gwen have done that and are in no rush to do it all again after both having gone through painful divorces.”
According to Gossip Cop, the report was entirely made up like many other reports put out by the website previously.
