KEY POINTS

  • Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are rumored to be adopting an orphan
  • The couple allegedly wants to have a baby together
  • Gwen Stefani is rumored to be undergoing IVF treatments

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are reportedly adopting a 2-year-old orphan after the New Year, but there appears to be no truth to this new rumor.

According to Globe, the couple already met the toddler, and they are looking forward to legally including her in their family.

An unnamed source told the tabloid that Stefani is overjoyed but was nervous about how her three sons would react to the idea of adopting a baby girl. Luckily for the No Doubt singer, her children are on board with the idea of having a baby sister.

The tabloid also claimed that Stefani and Shelton resorted to adoption after the “Hollaback Girl” struggled to get pregnant. Stefani is rumored to have undergone fertility treatments.

Earlier this month, InTouch Weekly claimed that Stefani and Shelton have been trying to have a baby for quite some time, but they haven’t been successful. Following a series of failed attempts, they resorted to IVF but it failed as well.

An unnamed source also told the tabloid that Stefani is worried that Shelton would leave her because she couldn’t give him a biological child. Since Stefani is already 50 years old, it has been a struggle for her to get pregnant.

However, there has been no proof supporting these claims. Shelton and Stefani have not even tied the knot yet. It is unlikely for the couple to worry about having a baby together when they should be planning their wedding.

It is also unclear if Stefani has really been struggling with her fertility or if she really underwent IVF. The singer has not talked about the treatment during her interviews. And the fact that she has three children with Gavin Rossdale confirms that getting pregnant is not a problem for her.

Lastly, it seems highly unlikely that Shelton will leave Stefani just because she couldn’t give him a baby. The country singer was previously married to Miranda Lambert, but they didn’t have kids together.

If having babies is so important to Shelton, he would have already gotten Lambert pregnant years ago.
