Truth About Jennifer Aniston 'Caught' Holding Hands With Adam Sandler Post Split
Jennifer Aniston was not “caught” holding hands with Adam Sandler following her split from Justin Theroux, despite rumors. Gossip Cop debunked reports that attempted to create a fake romance between the two actors.
According to Radar Online, the actress was “caught” with a “new man” in her life. The report suggested that Theroux “moved on with a collection of Hollywood women,” because of which Aniston was “getting close” to Sandler as payback.
“Aniston’s flirty hand-holding may be platonic (for now),” it said and ended the report by asking readers if Aniston and Sandler “would make a good couple?”
However, the truth is that Aniston and Sandler were simply photographed while shooting for a movie. The two were spotted in Milan hand-in-hand while filming the Netflix comedy “Murder Mystery," in which they play a married couple who go on the run after being framed for the death of an elderly billionaire.
Sandler is happily married with two kids. Earlier this month, Sandler’s wife Jackie had in fact accompanied the two to a dinner and a night’s stay at George and Amal Clooney’s Lake Como home.
Recently, Aniston had spoken about the misconceptions about her single life. “The misconceptions are ‘Jen can’t keep a man,’ and ‘Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career.’ Or that I’m sad and heartbroken. First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken,” she told InStyle magazine.
“And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors. No one considers how sensitive that might be for my partner and me. They don’t know what I’ve been through medically or emotionally. There is a pressure on women to be mothers, and if they are not, then they’re deemed damaged goods. Maybe my purpose on this planet isn’t to procreate. Maybe I have other things I’m supposed to do?” she continued.
The interview came months after her split with Theroux in February, with whom she was married for more than two years.
Sandler and Aniston have been friends for more than two decades and she was even a guest at his wedding. The two previously starred together in 2011 movie “Just Go With It.”
During the promotion of the movie at “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 2011, Sandler said it was hard to keep from laughing during filming because of their friendship.
"When we were romantic, we were ad-libbing. Jennifer was very uncomfortable in scenes with her brother—I'm brotherly to her—so a brother being that close, she started ad-libbing," Sandler joked. "Like: 'Let me say something funny because your big nose is about to hit me.'"
Earlier this month, Gossip Cop had busted the website for falsely claiming that Aniston was rekindling a romance with Brad Pitt post her split.
