Truth About Jennifer Aniston Dumping ‘Friends’ Cast Mate David Schwimmer For Brad Pitt

Before fans began hoping Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt would get back together following their divorce, “Friends” viewers were shipping the actress’ character, Rachel Green and David Schwimmer’s Ross Geller.

Although Aniston maintained a close friendship with a majority of her co-stars following the “Friends” series finale, a new report claims the 51-year-old carried on a secret love affair with Schwimmer during their earlier years on the show.

According to Life & Style, Schwimmer reportedly “let it slip” that he and Aniston used to be in a romantic relationship. “Everyone was shocked,” the alleged source told the tabloid.

However, the supposed insider claimed Aniston feared how her romance with Schwimmer would affect the show and decided to pursue a relationship with Pitt.

“David was head over heels in love with her. He was heartbroken, but they did their best not to let it affect their friendship, because at the end of the day he and Jen were always pals,” the mystery tipster claimed.

Despite the rumors, there have been no reports from reliable publications that have confirmed Aniston and Schwimmer carried on a romantic relationship.

Although Aniston may not have romantic feelings toward Schwimmer, in 2019 she told the “Today” show that she believes their characters, Rachel and Ross are still together.

Nonetheless, Aniston previously revealed that she won’t allow her past romantic relationships to define her, even though people are interested in her love life.

“First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors. No one considers how sensitive that might be for my partner and me,” she said in a 2019 InStyle interview.

“They don’t know what I’ve been through medically or emotionally. There is a pressure on women to be mothers, and if they are not, then they’re deemed damaged goods. Maybe my purpose on this planet isn’t to procreate. Maybe I have other things I’m supposed to do,” Aniston added.
