The royal family has found themselves under some new scrutiny in recent months following the downfall and eventual death of U.S. Financier and accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who was reportedly a close friend with Prince Andrew. Now, according to claims from tabloids, his alleged friendship has led the Prince to be banned from seeing his great-niece and nephews.

A report in the National Enquirer (via New Idea) claims Kate Middleton has banned Prince Andrew from going anywhere near her three children, Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1, because of his alleged connections to Epstein, who was arrested for running an underage sex crime ring.

“Kate is alleged to have told Andrew: ‘Stay away! You’re revolting!’” the publication reports.

Her alleged orders for him to stay away come after Prince Andrew has insisted he was actually unaware of Epstein’s behavior and crimes, and that he has been appalled by what he later learned. In a lengthy statement after Epstein committed suicide in a New York City prison, he condemned his former friend’s behavior.

“This is a difficult time for everyone involved and I am at a loss to be able to understand or explain Mr. Epstein's lifestyle. I deplore the exploitation of any human being and would not condone, participate in, or encourage any such behavior,” the statement read.

Despite his denials, however, he is still reportedly being sought out for information, and some of Epstein’s accusers are reportedly seeking interviews with him as well.

However, while Prince Andrew is not expected to have committed any crimes himself, a palace courtier was reportedly quoted as saying that they aren’t surprised that Middleton has allegedly acted the way she did.

“It’s no wonder Kate has banned Uncle Andy from seeing her kids,” the source said.

However, it is also worth noting that no one from the palace has commented on the claims, nor is there reason to believe Middleton has actually banned Prince Andrew from the kids.
