Truth About Katie Holmes Spending Christmas Alone After Judge 'Ordered' Sending Suri To Tom Cruise
Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were once among the most followed pairs in Hollywood. Exactly a year after they stepped out as a couple, Katie and Tom welcomed a bouncing baby girl named Suri and they tied the knot in a lavish wedding on Nov. 18, 2006, in Italy. After six years of marriage, Katie shocked everyone when she filed for a divorce. In 2012, it was reported that the “Batman Begins” actress received primary custody of their daughter and the “Top Gun” actor was granted visitation rights.
Recently, there have been rumors swirling that Katie might spend Christmas alone this year after she was, reportedly, “ordered” to give Suri to Tom Cruise for the Holidays. Woman’s Day claimed that Tom and Suri are likely to reunite very soon after being separated for a long time. The entertainment news outlet stated that a judge instructed Katie to send her 13-year-old daughter to California.
“The last time Tom was with all three of his children was in 2012, when he spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with all of them,” a source told Woman’s Day. “After seven years, he is incredibly excited about having them under one roof for the holidays. Tom is planning on spending the day with all of them in Los Angeles,” it went on.
It added that Tom Cruise, allegedly, promised to obey Katie Holmes’ request to not push Suri on joining Scientology. The same tipster claimed that the “Edge of Tomorrow” star would be a “fool” if he does not follow his ex-wife’s wish and possibly lose access to his daughter again in the future.
Though fans would really be pleased seeing Tom getting reunited with Suri after being estranged for years, it should be noted that there are no concrete pieces of evidence made available to back these claims. Neither Katie nor Tom has confirmed anything as of yet. Also, Woman’s Day is known for publishing stories based on the accounts of its phony sources. Hence, avid followers of the couple should take these unverified claims lightly.
Meanwhile, Katie Holmes, previously, talked about her life and relationship with Suri. “I was happy to become a mom in my twenties. It's been nice that our ages fit -- how do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match,” Katie told Elle in May. “We kind of grew up together,” she continued. The “Logan Lucky” actress even revealed she is anxious that the hate and senseless things in the world today would have a bad influence on Suri.
